Design Phase

The Fall Brook Elementary School schematic design phase is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2025. The project will first go through Feasibility Study and Schematic Design from December 2023 through submission of Schematic Design targeted for April 2025.

As the design develops over the course of 2025, the team will add design images to this page. Below is also a graphic summarizing what has been completed in the Feasibility Study process.

The Feasibility Study started with programming, and the project team held student, educator and community workshops at the school. The goal for these sessions was for the team to gain insight to the community’s vision, priorities and values. The outcome of these workshops helped the design team determine what would work best for the school as they continued to evaluate if it should be a new building or an addition/renovation of the existing building.

PROJECT UPDATES

Construction - Module 7

The project has now completed the Feasibility Study and Detailed Design module, and are now in Module 7 – Construction. This process started with the 60% Construction Documents phase which was completed in late February with a submission of drawings and specifications to the MSBA. The following step will now be 90% Construction Documents, followed by 100% Construction Documents, bidding and then construction. The current schedule has actual construction starting on site in Fall of 2026.
